April Val Thorens

Although Skiing in April is considered low season, that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. In April brilliant skiing can be enjoyed – as long as you choose the right resort, which is why we recommend Val Thorens. Standing proudly as Europe’s highest ski resort, it’s one of the most reliable resort to find snow from the beginning of the season right through to May. Val Thorens is part of the Three Valleys Ski Area, and has its own Glacier and the highest slopes are up to 3,230 metres.

So, why Ski in April?

As long as you avoid the Ski Holidays, and the obvious increase in skiers around this time – skiing in April represents an incredibly good value way of hitting the slopes, whilst enjoying shorter lift queues and maximising skiing time. The quitter spell also means cheaper accommodation and ski passes.

The spring weather means that visitors to Val Thorens in April are likely to enjoy sunny afternoons and whilst skiing conditions aren’t as good as mid-winter, April across the Alps is known for dumps of snow. The warm weather also means that Après Ski is booming, after all there’s very little enjoyment from a beer drank outside in minus figures.

If you have any questions about visiting Val Thorens in April, then just get in touch and we will be happy to discuss your holiday with you. Once we understand your requirements, we can then tailor an April Ski Package for you, taking care of everything from travel and accommodation to ski hire and ski passes, all of which are secured at the best rates.
